Homosexuality... it does not define who you are and how you act. It is a mere label that categorizes what kind of human you are. It means nothing more than being attracted to the same sex.
There are many stereotypes out there about gay people. Such as their valley girl accents, the way they dress, the way they walk, the way the stand, etc. I can go on naming more, but that is just a mere percentage of the gay society. Have you notice that there are only approximately 5-10 gay people that fit that description out of our Sophomore students. Approximately 10% of the entire male population of our school are supposedly gay or bi. So that would calculate to about 40 gay people out of the 400 males of our Sophomore population. So only about 10-20% of the gay society actually fit that stereotype.
The only reason we don't focus on the other 90-80% of the gay population is because we don't know. They either hide, deny, don't know, or probably just BLEND IN with the rest of the straight people. Maybe they are bi and once they have a crush on a girl, we automatically assume that they are straight. The main point is, NOT ALL OR MOST GAYS fit the usual stereotype.
(I don't like that word... gay... it has a hidden meaning within it)
Gay... the opposite of straight. Why is it called straight exactly? Is it suppose to represent a "right" path to life? Is it suppose to mean that heterosexuals walk the path straight. They don't go awry in their life. Does straight mean "the right way"? Where does the word "gay" come from exactly. We know it means happy, a long time ago. Then meaning has changed twice now. It now means homosexual and another word with multiple negative meanings. So does the word, gay, emit a negative meaning upon the homosexual population. Some people call each other gay in a negative way. That upsets me.
